Personal training is about much more than having someone next to you in the gym. Personal training is essentially about motivation, achieving results and achieving them on schedule.
Here at The Edge Strength + Conditioning we understand this and offer much more, including guidance through the whole of your specific training and fitness development both inside and outside of our private studio.

Our private studio ensures that clients receive a one-on-one, individual and specific training sessions tailored to your individual requirements.

Fitness Assessments
Before beginning a new training program, a fitness assessment is recommended. We perform a functional movement screen (FMS) to assess your movement quality and determine if any exercises should be avoided. Analysis of muscular imbalances, postural alignment, joint mobility and stability will determine what to focus on when creating a program for you.
How it Works – Simplifying Movement
Put simply, the FMS is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function.
By screening these patterns, the FMS readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness.
The FMS generates the Functional Movement Screen Score, which is used to target problems and track progress. This scoring system is directly linked to the most beneficial corrective exercises to restore mechanically sound movement patterns.
Exercise professionals monitor the FMS score to track progress and to identify those exercises that will be most effective to restore proper movement and build strength in each individual.
Semi-Private Personal Training
Our semi-private personal training offers our members individualised training programs set in a small group environment.
Each member completes his or her own training program, while working out alongside other like-minded individuals.
To ensure each member is getting the attention they deserve, each session is
limited to 3 participants.

How to Get Started with Personal Training?
If you want to get started on a personal training program, the first step is to request an initial consultation and movement observation using the form below.
The consultation is completely free and there are no high pressure sales tactics.
After making your request for consultation, we’ll be in touch with you very shortly to schedule a day and time.
The consultation is an informal meet and greet where you can ask questions, and we can discuss your goals in greater detail.
After our consultation I’ll email you information about pricing and timetable. This will ensure my rates are within your budget and that our schedules can coordinate for a training program.
If rates and scheduling are Okay to you, then we can start to book your first training appointment shortly thereafter.
Typically, I will meet with my clients two times per week for about an hour at each training session.
Sometimes we may meet more than twice a week or less often, but most find that a twice weekly schedule is appropriate for their goals and lifestyle.
